Tropic Thunder (2008)

An inexperienced director is trying to film a movie on location based on a book based on a soldier’s experience in the Vietnam War.

After he is reprimanded by the producer to get the film made on budget and on time, the director decides to follow the advice of the book’s author and take the actors into the jungle to help them get a real sense of what it was like for a soldier in the war. Shortly after landing, the director steps on a landmine and blows up.

The five actors continue into the jungle– Tugg Speedman convinced they’re being filmed for the movie while the other four are pretty sure they’re lost. On their first night, Tugg goes off into the jungle alone and is abducted by some members of the Flaming Dragon. On their second night, Tugg does a live performance of Simple Jack and the other four devise a way to save him.

ACT III

Day 3 in the jungle. Kirk Lazarus walks an ox carrying Jeff Portnoy into camp while Alpa Chino and Kevin Sandusky crawl through the mud.

Would they be able to communicate, one speaking Mandarin the other Vietnamese?

Have you every tried talking to someone that only speaks Spanish? Same thing.

He’s the dude playing the dude disguised as another dude?

A little bit of RDJ leaking through.

Where did all those explosives come from? And that helicopter?

Cody and Four Leaf were carrying the explosives on the helicopter when they got taken hostage by the Flaming Dragon.

Any other questions, leave them below.
